Amazingly Difficult Grace:
Understanding and Practicing the Way of Forgiveness

Maybe at some point in your life, perhaps even now, these questions have rattled around in your mind and shaken up your soul. Jesus taught that the way of forgiveness, receiving and giving it, is at the center of what it means to be a follower of his. Most of us believe this, yet it’s one thing to sing about the amazing grace of God, and another to actually live by it.

In this eight-part Lenten sermon series, we are going to be wrestling with the deep questions and practical issues surrounding the path of forgiveness, listening to objections, and clarifying misconceptions. Forgiveness, according to Jesus, is the only way to live in harmony with God, to heal the wounds we do not deserve, and to come to love ourselves as God loves us. How would our lives be different if we actually learned from and trusted Jesus on this?
